On June 5, 2020, the National Medical Products Administration published the information on drug approvals available for delivery on June 5, 2020, indicating that Lingsu® Quetiapine Fumarate Extended-release Tablets (150 mg, 200 mg) has been qualified in the consistency evaluation and granted with the Drug Marketing Authorization (National Medicine Standard H20203235, National Medicine Standard H20203236).
Product Information
Quetiapine Fumarate Extended-release Tablets, is available for the treatment of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Due to the short half-life period of quetiapine, patients with conventional tablets need to take the medicine twice a day to maintain an effective plasma concentration, leading to poor medication compliance. The extended-release tablets help patients to reduce the number of times they took the medicine and increase their medication compliance while maintaining a stable plasma concentration.
The product has been approved for marketing by FDA in September, 2018 and upon the approval of marketing in China, it is deemed as being qualified in the consistency evaluation as a generic drug.
